Joined L.A. Fuess Partners in 1996
Sue joined LAFP the same year she earned her graduate degree from the University of Texas Arlington and is now a Principal and Team Leader with the firm. Over the course of her long and distinguished career, she has worked on a broad range of facility types, including municipal, healthcare, K–12 schools, and religious institutions.
With well over 150 school projects completed, Sue has developed a deep focus and passion for educational facilities. She is also a leader in the field of storm shelter design and peer review through her role on the National Storm Shelter Association Tornado Shelter Design Practice Committee; a committee which performs code review and has made over 200 recommendations for code improvement as it relates to specific challenges related to storm shelters pursuant to IBC 2015, Section 423.
