Mathew Sleiter, P.E.
Joined L.A. Fuess Partners in 2013
Mathew began his structural engineering career with L.A. Fuess Partners in 2013, where he was recognized early on for his analytical approach and ability to integrate architectural considerations into efficient and innovative structural solutions. Throughout his career, Mathew has sought to integrate evolving technologies into the traditional design process with a focus on continuous improvement. Now an Associate Principal, he brings extensive experience in structural design across a broad spectrum of materials, including structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, load-bearing masonry, and glue-laminated timber. While his project portfolio is anchored in a variety of K–12 facilities, including educational campuses with construction budgets exceeding $280 million, it also includes municipal, healthcare, and religious structures. Mathew has experience with the design of multi-story low-rise steel and concrete structures engineered for seismic resistance. He is a member of the National Storm Shelter Association (NSSA) and has developed numerous tornado-resistant storm shelter designs in compliance with ICC-500 standards. Additionally, Mathew has often served as a structural peer reviewer for tornado-resistant storm shelters at K-12 and institutional campuses.
