Jon Herrin dedicated his entire 36-year career to L.A. Fuess Partners, becoming one of the firm’s earliest Principals, Directors, and Vice Presidents. His contributions were pivotal to the firm’s daily operations and its most significant projects. Renowned among colleagues and clients as a master of project management, Jon excelled in overseeing high-profile corporate offices, pioneering data center projects, and large-scale aviation facilities, including the world’s largest cantilever hangar at the time of its construction. He also played a key role in numerous complex higher education and municipal projects.
Jon’s structural designs consistently succeeded due to his commitment to economical design principles, constructible details, and his exceptional ability to communicate the broader impact of structural decisions. Whether working on towering high-rise buildings or intricate educational facilities, Jon’s expertise ensured the success of every project he touched.
